Wajih Nahlé, Lebanese (1932 - 2017)

Wajih Nahlé was born in 1932 in Beirut, Lebanon.
He studied art at the workshop of Moustafa Farroukh.
He founded the Arab Artists Union and was a member of the French Association of International Artists.

Wajih Nahlé received numerous honors and awards including but not necessarily limited to the following:
Honorary Doctorate from the Lebanese American University in Beirut
The Prize of the Ministry of Education in Lebanon
The Prize of Biennale of Alexandria, Egypt
First Prize of the Grand Palais, Paris
Awarded Officier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in Lebanon and in France
Decorated with the Médaille de l’Ordre du Mérite by the Lebanese government
