Alice Hulette was born in Los Angeles in 1923.
She studied art briefly after graduating from high school.
At the beginning of World War II, she was hired as a draftsman for McDonald Douglass.
After the war, Alice married, raised a family and eventually resumed her art studies.
She studied in Sedona, Arizona, primarily under the tutelage of other artists.
Around 1995, she won a statewide art completion for watercolor.
She became known for her beautiful portrait paintings, paintings of birds, and landscapes.
She was commissioned to create the bi-centennial commemorative stamp for the Sedona post office.
Alice passed away in Sedona in 2011. |
