Stephen Huneck was born in on October 8, 1948, in Columbus, Ohio. He died on January 7, 2010, in Littleton,
New Hampshire. He studied at the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, Massachusetts. He was a sculptor, painter, and writer. He wrote and illustrated several children’s books. He was awarded a Silver Medal from the Society of Illustrators for his illustrations in the children’s book Sally Goes to the Farm.
