Gustave Fraipont, Belgian (1849 - 1923)

Gustave Fraipont was born in Brussels, Belgium on May 9, 1849. He died in Paris, France on April 29, 1923.
He was a painter, sculptor, illustrator, and an art professor. He wrote several books on the art of drawing, and worked as a commercial artist illustrating books for various publishers, and creating posters for businesses. He served as Professor of Drawing at Maison d'éducation de la Légion d'honneur in Saint-Denis, France. He was a member of the Society of French Artists.
