Douglas Miller, American (1947 - )

Douglas Miller was born in 1947 in Los Angeles, California.
A prolific artist, Douglas is an accomplished painter, photographer, and musician.
He studied art and music at Long Beach City College in Long Beach, California.
He served in the US Navy and is a Vietnam War veteran.
Douglas Miller has exhibited his art at the Sawdust Festival in Laguna Beach every year since 1971.
The Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce commissioned Douglas Miller to create a 5 x 12 foot mural depicting Main Beach. The mural can be seen at the Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce building.
Douglas Miller maintains an art studio in Laguna Beach, California and paints daily.
His work has also been exhibited at 7 Degrees in Laguna Beach.

A 2015, documentary titled Sawdust and Sand: The Art of Douglas Miller was shown at the Laguna Art Museum, the Film Festival in Palm Springs, and at the Newport Beach Film Festival. Nevada City Film Festival. It was also featured on PBS. The documentary can be seen on YouTube.
