Don Price was born on February 27, 1941, in Coalinga, California.
He died on December 5, 2023, in Fresno, California.
After graduating from Roosevelt High School in Fresno, California, he joined the United States Coast Guard.
Don Price was a self-taught artist known for painting California landscapes.
In 1977, he opened Don Price Galleries in Fresno, California.
The city of Sacramento commissioned Don Price to paint a large California landscape for the Sacramento Secretary of State Archives building. He completed a 6’ x 12’ landscape of Yosemite titled High Domain, now permanently installed in the building.
Later commissions for the State of California followed including paintings for the Coyle Federal Building and Courthouse in Fresno, and several murals at Copper River Country Club in Fresno.
