This is a rare over-sized lithograph modeled after an original Cy Twombly drawing which is in the collection of the Hamburger Kunsthalle art museum in Hamburg, Germany.
In 1962, Cy Twombly created a series of drawings and paintings relating to fallen heroes. Twombly’s Death of
Giuliano dè Medici drawings are symbolic references to the assassinations of Giuliano and Lorenzo de Medici.
