Beatrice Ward McIvor was a member of the Los Angeles Art Association, and the Women Painters of the West.
She studied at Stickney School of Art in Pasadena, California, and at the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles, California.
She was a sketching partner of California landscape and portrait artist, Elizabeth Borglum, American (1848 – 1922)
In the 1920s, Beatrice Ward McIvor maintained an art studio in Los Angeles. She also created commercial art for Grauman's Chinese Theater and Warner Bros.
