Anna Althea Hills, American (1882 - 1930)
Anna Althea Hills studied at Olivet College in Olivet, Michigan; the Art Institute of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois; Cooper Union in
New York City, New York; and at the Académie Julian in Paris, France.

She served as President of the Laguna Beach Art Association in Laguna Beach, California. She was also a member of the California Art Club.

She won awards for her art including Bronze Medals at the Panama-California Exposition in 1915, and at the California State Fair in 1919. She won the Landscape Prize from the Laguna Beach Art Association in 1922 and again in 1923.

In 1929, together with Edgar Payne, Anna Althea Hills founded a custom built gallery for the Laguna Beach Art Association. The gallery eventually expanded to become the Laguna Beach Art Museum.

Anna Althea Hills is listed in Edan Hughes book Artists In California 1786 -1940.
